How can I register myself at MAKIme?

For your personal registration simply click on the big red button 'Register now for free' which is located on the MAKIme-homepage at www.makime.com. Additionally you can find the link 'Register' at the page header on all MAKIme-sites.

How can I confirm my registration?

After completing your registration you will receive an email from MAKIme with the title 'My registration at MAKIme'. In this email you will find a link with which you can confirm your registration.

I can't complete my registration.

You have possibly not filled in all fields, which are necessary for the registration at MAKIme. Notice in this case the error message in the right column. They are marked red and show which necessary information you have not yet entered.

Can I change my personal information after the registration?

The information which you have entered during the registration can be changed at any time after completing the registration process by using the tab 'My MAKIme" within 'Settings' or edit them directly in your profile.

How can I login at MAKIme?

To log in please use for this purpose the intended Login-box with the title 'login at MAKIme' located on the homepage of MAKIme. You can find the box on any other publicly accessible site of the platform.

To upgrade your Basic-membership go to the tab "MyMAKIme' in "Settings". After clicking on "use all benefits of a Business-membership' in 'status & standard' you have the option to compare the different memberships again.

How can I pay the membership that is subject to charge (Professionalor Business)?

You comfortably pay your MAKIme-memberships subject to charge by withdrawal-by-transfer. After the Professional- or business membership has been activated, a field appears, in which you enter your bank account details.

You can chose between different methods of payment.
1. Monthly charge
2. Annual charge
3. Charge in a 2-year-cycle
If you pay 1 year or 2 years in advance you will receive 2 months or 5 months respectively for free. You save money this way.

By clicking on the 'pencil' you can change your personal profile and account settings.

The 'picture' stands for your MAKIme-profile picture, which you can upload or change there.

The 'globe' in your personal travel statistic shows, where a MAKIme-member stays the most. The place and duration of the trip will be displayed to the right of it.

|
The 'crown' makes the CityExpert-status recognizable, in combination with the name of the place and the received CityExpert points. The crown is colored red or gold, depending on the CityExpert points received from other MAKIme-members.

|
You can find the 'golden clock' at the page header immediately after you log in. It shows the time of the place, where you're staying currently.
|
|
You will find the 'gray clock' also at the page header, as soon as you have entered a trip. It displays the time of the locations to which you will be traveling soon. Furthermore this clock will be visible for other members and will also be displayed on your personal profile. This way, your contacts will know where you are currently staying and what time it is there.

Location reviews
|
The gray star will appear by reviews, if a location has not been rated or the reviews have not received the highest score.
|
|
The golden star will become visible after a location has been reviewed. The more gold stars are displayed (maximally 5), the better the reviews are for that location.

Map view
|
This icon shows, which activities, combined with their specific location, are available nearby.
|
|
Locations that are added by MAKIme members nearby are displayed in the view map with this symbol.
|
|
This icon exactly indicates the position of nearby MAKIme-member. Not which just where.
|
|
If a MAKIme-member is in the same hotel as you, he/she will be marked with this symbol.
|
|
This icon will indicate the MAKIme-members out of your network that are nearby.
|
My Surroundings
|
By clicking on this symbol, all the MAKIme-members will be displayed that are in the same hotel today.
|
|
When you click this icon, the traveling MAKIme-users that are nearby will be displayed.

The activities that are taking place nearby will be shown when you click on this symbol

|
By clicking on this icon a list of City-Experts that are nearby will appear, from whom you can receive tips and recommendations concerning your current residence.
